This dvd is everything and more than I could ask for in a Polynesian instructional dance dvd. It covers both aspects of Polynesian dance: the dynamic, fast Otea and the slow, expressive Aparima. Tumata explains every move extremely well and Moena demonstrates every move thoroughly. You will learn not only the basics but, also, the foot and arm movements that go with each move.
This is not a hula/polynesian dance workout dvd like the ones by Kili- which are great workouts but not so good for learning the dance itself. This dvd is devoted solely to learning the fundamentals of Polynesian dance and it is a must have for anyone interested in this form of dance.
The settings are lovely and the music sublime. Besides, at over 70 minutes in length, you get a lot quality dance instruction for a very low price, Well done, Miles Copeland, well done!!!!!
